Islamic Perspective
As we have seen that Christmas has pagan origins, so Muslims should stay away from its celebrations. Even if we ignore the pagan origin (which we should not), the way it is celebrated today by Christians who consider it to be a day of the birth of 'son of God' or incarnation of God, it becomes prohibited, as we know that neither does God incarnate, nor does He beget children. Allaah says in the Qur’an:
"They do blaspheme who say: ‘God is Christ the son of Mary’. But said Christ: ‘O Children of Israel! Worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord’. Whoever joins other gods with Allaah – Allaah will forbid him the Garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrongdoers be no one to help."
[Al Qur’an 5:72]
Infact, Qur’an is very clear that God is not like any of His creation
"Say: He is God, The One and Only.
God, the Eternal, Absolute.
He begets not, nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him."
[Al Qur’an 112:1-4]
and forbids associating partners with Allaah,
"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent . . ."
"Say (O Muhammad): 'I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your God is one God: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner'. "
[Al Qur'an 18:110]
Even the Bible says the same thing:
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent . . ."
[The Bible, Numbers 23:19]
"And he (God) said, Thou canst see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
[The Bible, Exodus 33:20]
and Jesus is reported to have said,
"And this is life eternal, that they might know THEE the ONLY true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent."
